Position:  Logistics Supervisor      Location:  Central South Carolina

Job Description:  Position requires an Associates or Bachelors degree with 5-10 years of manufacturing or material supervisory experience. This individual will supervise and effectively coordinate all logistics functions. Supervise the activities of Marshaling/Line-setting, Warehousing, Receiving, Shipping and Trucking Departments. Responsible for housekeeping and accuracy of inventory recors. Oversee the effective use of common carriers to transport products to customers; and the proper reconciliation of claims, tracers and freight bills. Responsible for the proper checking, identification and records of all parts and raw materials received from outside sources. Requisition necessary supplies and materials required for departmental operations. Will be responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization`s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Job Description/Requirements:  Must have a BS degree in Business, Logistics, or related field. Must have 7-10 years supervisory experience in distribution, business operations, or logistics. Knowledge of company operations strongly encouraged.  Extensive working knowledge of PC software necessary, AS400 based program knowledge (specifically JD Edwards) is a plus.  Strong decision making skills  Effective planning, organizing, communication and influencing skills Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.  Ability to manage direct reports and temporary service workers.
